About Meteor

Meteor is a free, open-source utility client for Minecraft Java Edition, built as a Fabric mod. It's best known in the anarchy and crystal PvP scene, but it covers a lot more than combat: movement, rendering, world and player modules all live in one click GUI.

Because Meteor is a regular Fabric mod, it runs alongside other Fabric mods and is usually updated for new Minecraft releases soon after they come out. Its addon system lets other developers ship extra modules as separate jars, so there's a big ecosystem of Meteor addons on top of the base client.

The source code is public on GitHub, so you can read exactly what it does or build it yourself.

How to install Meteor

  1. Install the Fabric loader for the Minecraft version Meteor supports.
  2. Download Meteor from the button on this page.
  3. Press Win + R, type %appdata%\.minecraft\mods and press Enter (on macOS it's ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/mods). Create the mods folder if it doesn't exist.
  4. Drop the Meteor .jar into that folder. Most Fabric mods also need Fabric API in the same folder.
  5. Open the Minecraft Launcher, pick the fabric-loader profile and press Play.
